What is in season: December

Sometimes, when the winter comes, we think that are food choices become more limited.

But surprisingly there are so many vegetables and fruits available.

Looking at the list there are lots of vegetables that would make warming and comforting soups, stews and casseroles. Fruits that would make crumbles.

It is easy to fall into a habit of eating the same thing day in, day out but for gut health we need to eat as diverse a range of foods as possible.

I am on the hunt for Kohl Rabbi ( or however you spell it!!) and wild mushrooms. What new thing will you try?
